COLLABORATION
I struggled with the typography included in my design so I asked Paige who is also in my group to try and add my tagline into the background. The image below is the final outcome for the 4 set theme posters. I like how it is has all turned out 🙂
EXPERIMENTING IN THE GROUP
In the group we decided to see what would look best, since our colour scheme is red, blue, green and grey we thought of using all the colours to be the background. We found that it looked too much underneath the design and decided to just pick one colour to be placed behind the design.
These are screenshots from the forum that Lindsey has posted since she is doing the journal while the rest designs the posters, the images show the progress which we have started the journal and how we are laying it out. We chose these colours so that we could follow the scheme throughout, I decided to re-colour my main design which they all liked to match a colour.
CYBERBULLYING IDEAS
From inspiration on Pinterest I have tried to create some illustrations which relate to cyberbullying, I was mostly focused on social media and tears or blood which would be related together by people harming themselves over hurtful comments on the internet.
In the forum page on Moodle, the group decided to split us up into smaller groups doing different subjects. Me and Paige were chosen to do the gaming and cyber bullying, I’ve already produced a “maybe” design for the group however we need to look at cyber-bullying to create a poster.
I’ve researched cyber-bullying posters on Pinterest and pinned some of my favourite to the Magenta group.
POSTER IDEAS?
To inspire me, I looked at the group pinterest board and asked everyone to pin images which were inspiration or related to poster ideas. Our theme is CMYK so the group have decided to pin some images related to the whole CMYK colour scheme.
For more inspiration, I found a website which I liked looking at that showed different types of posters and designs. The link is http://designspiration.net/ and it allows you to scroll through thousands of posters to get some inspiration and ideas.
POSTER IDEA???
From my main idea, I added some font and a background to see what it’d look like on the whole. I’m going to experiment with the poster and change the colours and layout but keep the whole controller/gaming theme.
PROGRESSING IDEA
To progress with my idea, I’ve asked which design the group liked the best and thought to expand on it, I did this by uploading it to Illustrator and outlining the main lines. The image below is multiple screenshots of my development with my controller. The first and second image are the lines are were mainly needed to form the design, the other two are adding colour. I will experiment with the colours so that it matches the theme “CMYK” however for now the controller will remain black/grey colour.
